A New Day that is Here to Stay

First and foremost, I want to say "Welcome to the journey!" Secondly, I do not claim to be an autism expert, only an expert in my own autistic children. As many of you know, we aren't our own autism experts because we want to be... autism was thrust upon us like a hurricane. And for some of us, there was no calm before the storm. We didn't have a weather man telling us to run for safety and shelter, to start gathering up supplies. No, " Hurrican Autism" came in and stole the smiles on our children's faces, the goodnight kisses, the words "ma ma" and "da da. " And when the storm came, it took the souls of our children with it. Since that day, we have been fighting to bring our babies back home to us. And the clean up after the storm, is a hell of job. But no one said recovering from the storm would be easy. This I know. There is always calm after the storm.
